About the Afrique Boutique Hotels

Mr. Christo Goosen and his wife Comine, who are both former teachers, saw the need for affordable, quality accommodation and in September 2006 they started the Sunward Park Guest House. This Guest House proved to be such a success that Mr. & Mrs Goosen bought the premises of the now Afrique Boutique Hotel. In November 2008 they opened the doors of the O R Tambo Branch, which then became the show case and Head Office of the Group.

The dream that started small is now growing bigger and bigger. Mr. Goosen is taking the Afrique Boutique Hotel Group name to new and greater heights, introducing the new Franchise part of the Group. This dream is far from over!

Mrs. Comine Goosen's exquisite taste in fabrics and furnishings and her hands-on involvement with the decor at both Hotels, have made sure that everything is done in style and yet is very practical and functional.

Both Sunward Park and the Oliver Tambo's Reception and rooms have been decorated with original artwork from South African Artists.
